Building and Safety Department

Office Hours:

8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mon., Tues., Thu., & Friday

8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday

Our offices are closed every other Friday.

 

The Building and Safety Department ensures that all laws pertaining to the construction or alteration of buildings and structures are enforced to ensure the health and safety of the community. It conducts inspections and issues all appropriate permits for building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work, and various other permits. The Department is also responsible for the administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The CDBG program provides services to low-income communities and families, including the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program.
