Ventura City Manager Starts Blog
Ventura City Manager Rick Cole has started the new year with his own blog. Rick is a journalist by training, so I would guess his entries will be on the more thoughtful and well-written side than mine. He has decided to allow comments for his blog. He has told me that he enjoys the comments he has read on this blog and it has encouraged him to allow comments too.

I believe all of the community leaders should be commended for posting blogs (and other public forums for comment.)Congratulations to Wally for taking the lead. Whether everyone agrees on an issue or not (you obviously will never get 100% agreement) the open dialog of such medium as the blogs allows for crtical debate to get some input from the community so the leaders can understand what their community is asking of them. Without input, our representative republic does not work. Well done to Wally and Rick!

(BTW, I'm not sure my training improves my blogging skills -- I notice my posts are LONGER than yours.)
